Ingredient Statements:

Instant Bread Mix: Bread Crumbs (bleached wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt), nonfat dry milk, Modified food starch (corn), sodium alginate.

Instant Puree Pasta Mix: Enriched Farina (Farina (wheat), Niacin, iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Modified Food Starch (corn), salt, artificial flavor

Instant Puree Rice Mix: Rice Flour, Modified Food Starch (corn), salt, artificial flavor

Puree Food Enhancer: Wheat Flour, Egg White Solids, Sugar, Modified Food Starch (Potato), Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil (Soybean, Cottonseed), Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Salt, Natural Butter Flavor. Contains Wheat, Egg, Milk.

Basic Mixing Directions:

Instant Puree Rice or Pasta Mix
See chart below for amount of water and mix.

  1. Bring water to a boil. Whisk Puree Rice or Pasta Mix into Boiling Water.
  2. Pour into appropriate size pan and cover.
  3. Place pan on steam table to maintain serving temperature. Plate using a #8 scoop.
Note: Additional margarine (2 Tbsp/6 servings) can be added to increase calories and provide additional taste.

Instant Puree Bread Mix
Directions: For loaf pan (9x5x3)-16 servings (1/2" thick)
  1. Spray pan with a nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Using a wire whisk, rapidly mix 2 Cups of bread mix with 3 Cups of cold water in a mixing bowl.
  3. Immediately pour into prepared pan
  4. Allow bread to stand for 30 minutes
  5. Invert pan to de-mold onto cutting board. Spray knife with nonstick cooking spray and slice into " slices.

Directions:

  1. Puree cooked meat or vegetable to puree consistency using food processor.
  2. Gradually add hot liquid and process to smooth consistency. Use broth or cooking liquid for best flavor.
  3. Add ReadyCare Puree Food Enhancer and process until well blended.
  4. Coat pan with food release. Pour mixture into pan.
  5. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and then foil. Cook according to time and temperature recommended below. Cooking times may vary due to differences in ovens. Cook until an internal temp of 165°F is reached.
  6. Allow to stand for 10-15 minutes.
  7. Cut into desired shape and servings. Plate and serve with gravy or sauce if desired.

    Presentation

    Rounds- Use muffin tins. Make omelets or individual quiches. Use layering techniques or swirling for eye appeal.

    Layers- Use a loaf pan. If you were to make a sandwich, process the bread and meat layer separately and layer them in the pan. See below for sample sandwich recipe.

    Wedges- Use a cake/pie pan. Make casseroles, quiches, etc.

    Other shapes include Squares, Cubes (ex beef cubes), Sticks (ex. Fish sticks) and Triangles.
